We are a working family farm on the North Devon coastline. For many years we’ve been predominantly beef and sheep, but in recent years we have been welcoming the public to visit our beautiful farm and lovely animals.

The Sheep:
At Springfield, we have a flock of 700 breeding ewes. We lamb outdoors in April and run our system as sustainably as we can, with no added inputs and finishing all of our lambs off grass.

The Cows:
We run a suckler herd of 35 cows, which also calve outdoors in April with minimal assistance. Our aim is to produce quality and environmentally sustainable food and work in line with nature.

We set the playbarn up as a safe space for children to play outdoors on our farm. We understand the importance of getting children on farms and learning about where their food comes from. Having this barn in the middle of a working farm gives children an opportunity to see farm work in action whilst having fun.
